Energy Blitz Challenge

Remember: the most points are awarded to the Green Team whose building shows the highest energy savings relative to it's baseline.  Pay attention!

• Turn off lights when you leave a room

• Unplug unused devices

• Turn off computer monitors 

You can earn points by attending Energy Blitz  seminars and workshops on campus on topics like "Save Money/ Save Energy" and "Climate Change 101", or by attending off-campus events related to sustainability such as lectures, documentary screenings, or community clean-ups.  See the Event Calendar for upcoming campus and community events. 

If you are part of a campus or community organization and would like to hold a workshop for your members, please contact stclainm@email.laccd.edu.  

Each week of the Challenge, we will highlight a different theme related to sustainability and offer points for completing and verifying actions around the theme.  Weekly Sustainability Pledges may be taken one time per individual at any time after they have been posted until the end of the challenge.  You can find the current and past weekly challenges on the Report Points page.

Have another idea of how to bring sustainability to campus, maybe something you're already working on?  Tell us about your own project and you can be awarded extra points based on creativity and impact! 

How? Go to the Report Points Form (linked below). Under the activity, choose "DIY Sustainability Project".  Tell us about your idea or project, and add some pictures -- you could be featured on the website!
